Make an Impact Conference Streams 2019 Programme

'The extension of the sessions to 1 hour provided much better pace, and space for presenters and delegates to receive and participate in the sessions in far greater depth. This was a stroke of brilliance.’

Make an Impact
Whether as an individual, increasing engagement or raising funds; as a school, looking to offer pupils the best educational opportunities; or as a sector, growing cultures of giving in schools – we all make an impact!

Last year’s conference focussed on telling your story, how to share your story to increase engagement and raise more from your school community. As we celebrate 20 years of IDPE supporting development professionals, and launch the key findings from the 4th benchmarking survey, the UK's largest fundraising survey for the education sector, the IDPE 2019 Annual Conference will explore how we, both individually and collectively, make an impact on young people’s lives.

Strategy and leadership

A stream dedicated to developing collaboration across the senior leadership team and exploring the latest trends and innovations from across the sector.  This stream will include sessions relevant to more experienced development professionals as well as heads, bursars and governors.

We know it can be a challenge for senior leaders to commit to two days away from school, we will therefore focus sessions which are particularly relevant to heads, bursars and governors on Monday 10 June 2019.  And don't forget our bursary scheme offers free day delegate places to any individual engaged in or interested in development, why not apply for a bursary place for your head, bursar or governor?

What is the value of a development office? Becki Mckinlay, Managing Consultant for stream sponsor Graham-Pelton Consulting, shares her thoughts on the value of the development office to the senior leadership team and the school as a whole.
