Three topics delivered by an experienced head and development director in an online twilight seminar:

  1. What is development? How does it impact a school and where does development fit?
  2. Systems, structures and personnel: What is required to run an effective development function? What does this cost and how do you budget for this?
  3. Asking for support: Developing a case for support and making the ask. How many ways can you ask and thank people?

Three topics delivered by an experienced head and development director in an online twilight seminar:

  1. Planning cycles for the short, medium and long-term: What are the similarities and differences between fundraising for bursary programmes and capital projects? Embedding a culture of philanthropy for the long term.
  2. Measuring success: How do you measure your success and review your progress? The importance of KPIs and using benchmarking effectively. 
  3. The role of the head: What are the roles and responsibilities of a head?
