Types of IDPE membership and subscriptions

IDPE membership provides access to IDPE's educational training, benchmarking and resources for all members of staff involved in professional fundraising and alumni relations within a school.

There are three types of membership:

  • Membership for schools with established development offices or with an active professional fundraising and alumni relations programme
  • Associatefor individuals looking to enter the schools' development sector or taking a career break
  • Corporate partnership* for organisations or freelancers supporting the schools' development sector

*Associate members and corporate partners are membership classes governed by the IDPE board of trustees and do not qualify for voting rights, as specified in the Articles of Associations. For more information contact vicky.roe@idpe.org.uk.

 

Schools membership subscription

There are a wide range of subscriptions depending on your school size, situation and location. For 2024, the costs will be as follows:

~ Pupil numbers are based on the senior school (and include pupil numbers from affiliated prep schools), as per the Department of Education website

^ A lead school is defined as the school in which the development office is situated or, in the event of the development office not being based in a school, the largest school in the group/MAT. This excludes any schools not registered with IDPE

Joining part way through a year

If you are joining part way through the year, please see the table below which shows the % of annual fee that will be applied:

Associate membership subscription

For individuals looking to enter the sector, or are taking a career break, who are currently not working for a school, we offer associate membership.

Associate members benefit from a discounted rate of £70** per quarter.

Corporate partnership subscription

Includes IDPE membership plus additional marketing opportunities.  The annual subscription fee is £585** and runs from 1 January to 31 December.  

If joining part way through a year the initial year's subscription is based on the month you join.
