Three topics delivered over 90 minutes by an experienced head and development director in a 90-minute online twilight seminar: What is development? How does it impact a school and where does development fit? Systems, structures and personnel: What is required to run an effective development function? What does this cost and how do you budget for this? Asking for support: Developing a case for support and making the ask. How many ways can you ask and thank people?

Following completion of module 1, a 45-minute virtual one-to-one consultation with IDPE’s Joint CEO, a qualified leadership coach and mentor experienced in raising funds and income generation, takes place to explore how best to apply best practice to individual contexts, distil priorities and begin to develop a strategic plan.

Three topics delivered over 90 minutes by an experienced head and development director in a 90-minute online twilight seminar: Planning cycles for the short, medium and long-term: What are the similarities and differences between fundraising for bursary programmes and capital projects? Embedding a culture of philanthropy for the long term. Measuring success: How do you measure your success and review your progress? The importance of KPIs and using benchmarking effectively. The role of the head: What are the roles and responsibilities of a head?

A small group of heads facing similar challenges meet experienced heads for Q&A and structured facilitated discussion, providing the opportunity to: ask questions to iron out specific challenges that have arisen following seminars glean invaluable insights and share best practice
