Sponsored day places
IDPE is committed to ensuring that the annual conference is accessible to all schools and that all schools can benefit from the training and networking available.
We recognise that it is sometimes your travel budget rather than your training budget that is prohibiting attendance. Therefore, for 2026, it will be possible to claim either a free day place or reclaim your travel expenses, up to the value of £150.
The day place will cover one day at the conference including all conference sessions and networking, lunch and daytime refreshments. Recipients will be asked, once a place has been awarded, to select their preferred day, based on the sessions that will be most beneficial to them.
Who is eligible?
To apply for a day place you must working within an independent or state school and have some involvement in schools fundraising and/or alumni relations. The only other criteria is that without the bursary place, your school would not be able to send anyone to the event.
In addition, to apply for a travel subsidy, it must take you over 3 hours, by road, to reach Telford International Centre. We will reimburse petrol costs or train/bus tickets and the latter must be standard class travel. This scheme does not cover the cost of taxi journeys unless in exceptional circumstances and with the prior agreement of IDPE.

The application process
Please complete an application form by Friday 6 March 2026. Applications will then be considered by an IDPE review committee made up of IDPE members schools. The decision of the committee is final. All applicants will be notified by email as to whether they have been successful week commencing 23 March 2026.
Please read the terms and conditions prior to submitting your application.
